Andrea Ferraresi
Born in Milan in 1964, Andrea Ferraresi graduated in Civil Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 1989. After carrying out research activities at the Politecnico di Milano and working for a company specialized in structural software development, he joined Studio A. Ferraresi – AF Engineering in 1991, at the time led by his father, Engineer Angelo Ferraresi. For more than a decade he has been the head of Studio A. Ferraresi – AF Engineering, today working alongside his son, Engineer Alessandro Ferraresi.
He has been enrolled as a member of the Ordine degli Ingegneri di Milano (Order of Engineers in Milan) since December 1990.
In addition to a large number of professional appointments as an independent consultant in the fields of structural, executive and architectural design, construction management and site supervision, technical consultancy, fire safety engineering and structural testing, since June 2001 Andrea Ferraresi has also served as Local Technical Consultant for the Milan headquarters of the Bank of Italy. In parallel, from June 2003 he held the same role for the Milan branch until its closed in 2005, and from 2009 to 2018 for the branches of Pavia, Cremona and Mantua, now decommissioned. From 2013 to June 2018 he also served as Local Technical Consultant for the Bergamo branch, specialized in cash handling operations.
Since 1997 he has been registered in the official list of professionals qualified under the Italian law 818/1984 (fire prevention professionals), and since 1998 he has been certified to act as Safety Coordinator in accordance with Italian D.Lgs. 81/08.
Alessandro Ferraresi
Alessandro Ferraresi is born in Milan in 1994 and earned his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 2020. He has been registered in the Ordine degli Ingegneri di Milano (Order of Engineers in Milan) since 2021 and he is co-owner of Studio A. Ferraresi – AF Engineering alongside his father Andrea Ferraresi.
He worked from 2020 to 2023 with Magnetti Building S.p.A., a leading Italian company in precast concrete construction, focusing on the design of precast structures, structural modelling, optimisation of precast elements and R&D of innovative systems. From 2020 to 2023 he also practiced independently in structural design for steel and concrete structures and provided support to site supervision.
In parallel with his professional work, Alessandro began teaching as a Teaching Assistant for the “Precast Structures” course at the School of Civil, Environmental and Territorial Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. He joined in January 2023 Studio A. Ferraresi – AF Engineering, where he mainly coordinates structural design and manages relations with international partners and customers.
He is member of Engineers Ireland (MIEI).
